Railing

The two most common types of railing deck contractors install are wood and aluminum.

  • Aluminum is a no maintenance option that you won't have to worry about for many years. It doesn't overheat in the sun. It has a sleek, modern look to it and goes well with any material you decide for decking. We typically use the brand Durarail (click on the brand for color options). We can also use the brand Westbury, especially if you are wanting a drink rail along the top. The drink rail is a matching composite board that gives you the ability to set things on your railing.

  • Wood railing is a more traditional option. We can do vertical or horizontal and are flexible when it comes to a customer's vision.

  • Wood and aluminum railings are also common. This is when the top/bottom boards and the posts are wood, and the spindles are aluminum. Aluminum spindles come in many shapes and can give the railing a unique look. This option is good for those who have a wood deck, but want a bit less maintenance on the rail, as the spindles are the most tedious to seal.
